The Bugatti La Voiture Noire has been commissioned to commemorate the brand's 110th anniversary and made its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Only one example of the all-black car will be produced and has already been sold.
With a price tag of $12.5 million and a selling/marketing price of $18.7 million , the one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire is officially most expensive new car ever. A modern interpretation of Jean Bugatti's personal Type 57 SC Atlantic, the La Voiture Noire uses the same quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine as the Chiron, producing 1,479 horsepower (1,102 kilowatts) and 1,600 Newton-meters (1,180 pound-feet) of torque. Every component of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire has been handcrafted and the complete carbon fibre body has a deep gloss black finish.
The unnamed owner of the most expensive Bugatti will be receiving the finished example almost two and a half years later, during which Bugatti will be working not only on building the car but also on homologating it and to make it road legal.
